These tools use Scratch, a graphical programming language developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Media Lab. This article also reviews teaching tools that have been used for pronunciation learning in education for the deaf and presents two example tools that can be created with ordinary materials. Pedagogical techniques for pronunciation learning have been passed on from experienced deaf education teachers to junior teachers; however, there are concerns that the transmission of these professional skills is not as well supported today due to new integration policies of special support schools and the regular rotation of teachers.
