The purpose of this study was to assess the clinical validity of such an intervention by examining whether or not individualization (personality development) would be achieved among such patients. We conducted an intervention involving three mentally impaired persons in the preoperational (age: one and a half to two years), sensorimotor (seven to eight years), and concrete operational (11 to 12 years) stages, respectively, as defined by Piaget’s Developmental Stages, using the factors of hobbies and interpersonal relationships.
