In recent years, hearing loss has become known to be a risk factor for dementia, and the relationship between earing impairment and dementia has gained increased attention. Age-related hearing loss can be caused by central or peripheral pathology, and degenerative changes of neurites similar to those in the brain of lzheimer’s disease have been observed. The underlying mechanisms of age-related hearing loss includes: similar neurofibrillary degeneration in the cochlea and in the brain; a lack of auditory information from the outside world educing the input needed to activate brain function; an overload of neural circuits for language processing due to hearing loss, resulting in a lack of cognitive resources; and the mechanism of cognitive deficits in the ippocampus and other areas of information processing is also considered due to less cognitive reserve. While it would be useful to clarify the relationship between hearing restoration and cognitive function through hearing aids and cochlear implants in order to elucidate these mechanisms, further studies are needed on the possibility of hearing restoration and prevention/restoration of cognitive function.","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10001_description_6":{"attribute_name":"内容種別","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"Review Article","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_10001_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.69202/0002000013","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_10001_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"Osaka Kawasaki Rehabilitation University","subitem_publisher_language":"en"}]},"item_10001_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"2436-1097","subitem_source_identifier_type":"PISSN"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Masatoshi TAKEDA","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"314","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Kunihiro UMAYAHARA","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"307","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yukito UEDA","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"45","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Hidetsugu WADA","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"322","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Kayo MATSUO","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"400","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yoshimi TSUKAMOTO","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"50","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2023-12-15"}],"filename":"p82-88_Masatoshi TAKEDA.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"644 KB"}],"format":"application/pdf","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"objectType":"fulltext","url":"https://kawasakigakuen.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/2000013/files/p82-88_Masatoshi TAKEDA.pdf"},"version_id":"39e66878-ed2f-4fcd-b5d6-bc3916d9adc4"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"review article","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_dcae04bc"}]},"item_title":"Age-related hearing loss and dementia: whether restoring auditory function can prevent or improve dementia?","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Age-related hearing loss and dementia: whether restoring auditory function can prevent or improve dementia?","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10001","owner":"4","path":["1702524861011"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2023-12-15"},"publish_date":"2023-12-15","publish_status":"0","recid":"2000013","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Age-related hearing loss and dementia: whether restoring auditory function can prevent or improve dementia?"],"weko_creator_id":"4","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2024-08-26T00:48:25.202012+00:00"}
