医学の進歩によりがん患者の生存率は向上しており、若年がん患者は原疾患の治療前に妊孕性温存療法を考慮する状況となっている。原疾患を告知された患者と家族は、精神的に不安定の中、原疾患治療開始までの限られた時間の中で妊孕性温存療法についても受けるかどうか決定しなければならない。妊孕性温存実施施設の看護師は適切な情報提供だけでなく、患者や家族の不安な気持ちに寄り添い、疑問に思うことや希望することを傾聴する役割がある。看護師が患者や家族の緊張を短時間で和らげ信頼関係を築くためには、患者個々の背景に沿ったさまざまな角度からアプローチをしていくことが大切であることが示唆された。 |

Due to advances in medicine, the survival rate of patients with cancer is improving. Various cancers and their treatments can cause infertility. Young patients with cancer may therefore consider fertility preservation prior to undergoing cancer treatment. Decisions must be made about it in a comparatively limited amount of time. Nurses not only provide appropriate information during this time, they also stay close to patients and their families. To relieve anxiety within this short time and to build a relationship of trust, it is important for nurses to approach the mental needs of patients in this situation from various angles according to their individual background. |
